Me
A Mountain Dulcimer Enthusiast
My mountain dulcimer journey began in 2016 when my mother-in-law, Connie Emmons, and her sister, Marge Hammaker, introduced me to the instrument. It did not take long for me to fall in love with the instrument and I quickly began to learn all I could about it and how to play it. I play almost every day.
One of my goals is to bring more modern music to the instrument. I have several arrangements available on this website and there are many more to come.
My entire professional career has been in the technology sector and it continues to this day.
I live in Southwest Florida with my wife, Michelle, along with our dog and two cats.
Special Acknowledgements:
I want to thank the following people for helping me along my musical journey.
Frank Dennis: I would not be half the player I am today without Frank’s early guidance and teaching. I am forever indebted to him for sharing is knowledge and his friendship.
Larry Conger, Bing Futch, & Stephen Seifert for your dulcimer lessons and guidance.
James McAnulty: After I struggled along with sub-par instruments, James built me a fantastic, high-quality dulcimer that I still play on a daily basis.
My Family: For encouraging me along this musical journey and supporting me when I sometimes grow frustrated at my lack of progress.
